Requirements

To start this course, you should be familiar with the Cyrillic alphabet and basic Russian reading. A foundation in simple vocabulary (pronouns, common nouns, and verbs) is also helpful. All exercises include English translations, so you can focus on the grammar without having to stop and look up new words.

Description

In this course, I have prepared hundreds of example sentences covering all pronouns, so you'll never have to experience that awkwardness of trying to remember the correct verb form. You'll practice all possible conjugation patterns across all pronouns for more than 160 of the most common Russian verbs. I should mention that reflexive verbs are not included here, as their conjugation patterns differ significantly from non-reflexive verbs. I avoid using overly simple sentences. You won't see basic phrases like 'I love coffee' or 'She can swim.' Instead, I've included more complex examples because context is key to keeping vocabulary in your long-term memory. At the end of the course, we'll practice these verbs through stories about my life and my friends. This allows us to apply what we've learned in a coherent, natural way, which may even help you construct your own stories about your life and interests. You don't need to be an advanced speaker to start, as all examples are translated into English. However, it is expected that you already know how to read the Russian alphabet, and having some basic vocabulary will certainly help speed up your progress.
