DESIGNING DATA COLLECTION INSTRUMENTSThis course is suited for anyone who is doing research, a thesis, or a study that needs data collection from a group of respondents. It will help them to gain knowledge on how to design a good questionnaire or interview questions that will be suited for a group of respondents which they need to get some information to accomplish their research, thesis, or studies about something. Survey researchers use two basic measuring instruments: questionnaires and interview schedules.Questionnaire. This tool is self-administered; therefore, the respondent fills it out. The questions should be simple and formulated as close-ended questions (these questions provide two or more answers and respondents should choose the right or appropriate answers).Interview schedule. This tool is interviewer-administered. In general, this tool is more difficult to fill out than the questionnaire because it contains moreopen-ended questions.
