Description
With all the different forms of learning available to us, only one form adequately provides a way to learn and grow with nuance, wisdom, empathy, and in community with others: and that form of learning is mentoring. Most everyone has experienced mentoring in their life in one form or another. Some of these mentoring relationships have been informal, learning from someone such as a teacher or a coach. Other mentoring relationships are more formal, where the mentor is named and they know they are filling that particular role. More often than not, these mentoring experiences are directed by the mentor. This isn't necessarily a bad thing at all! But, who best knows your learning needs and what sort of mentors you need to meet those needs? You do! While most mentoring courses and programs focus on how to be a good mentor, this course instead teaches you how to be an effective mentee, putting you in the driver's seat to direct your own relational learning. In this 1-hour course, you will learn:The various forms of mentoring How to find and engage a mentor How to be a successful mentee How to intentionally pursue growth through a development plan Join us on a journey of discovery as you learn how to live a mentored life!
