Hands-on Class Project
Have you ever played the board game Battleship? That's what we will be making at the end of this course! Learn how to draw the board, place the ships, and detect when a ship has been hit.
This is a unique but challenging project to put your new Java skills to the test.
If that sounds complicated, don't worry! We also will be making a simple calculator half way through the course. This will be a much easier introduction to real Java programs.
Projects in this course are not spoon fed to you. Instead you have a chance to tackle each part of the project on your own and then see how I would have solved that part.
This helps develop the most important skill as a programmer: Problem solving and truly learning how to write programs, not just following instructions.
