Very few pilots in US military history have earned seven Distinguished Flying Crosses. The Pentagon destroyed SOG's photos and records after the war to maintain its secrecy. The Pink Panthers were the only all-Cobra unit and only helicopter unit dedicated to supporting SOG. Readers will find themselves in the cockpit firing rockets and mini-guns while Terry, as air mission commander, directs the air assets attempting to bring embattled SOG men out when completely surrounded by the enemy. The book includes the story of Terry's dad, a World War II fighter pilot, made famous through his pet coyote companion who flew in five combat missions in Operation Market Garden.
