For most of my adult life I have been far, far from home, 11,000 km to be exact. Life was pretty normal for me, filled with good books, great jazz, and all of the things a normal American kid would want. When I turned 20 the world turned upside down; I fell through the rabbit hole and literally ended up in China. (Well, Taiwan, almost in China.) This is my story of life and love on the far side of the globe, how I learned to cope, the adventures I have, and what happens when you dare to take life by the horns and live it to its fullest.
