The Naradasmriti is unique in the corpus of sanskrit legal literature. It is the only original collection of legal maxims which purical juridica in character. The author has critically edited and translated the incomplete but extremely important commentary of Ashahaya. He also provides summary of the commentary of bhavasvamin.
