Micro-chips have traditionally been associated with computer technology, but a revolution is underway in the world of communications that will transform this traditional analog world into a digital one. Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) is the term used to describe the new class of service soon to be provided by the telephone operating companies, but the merging of Computers and Communications will certainly find its way into many other applications.
